Why you must see Homestead’s Hidden Gem – The Berry Farm

I had the opportunity to visit The Berry Farm for their soft opening, but I have been there before for their last season. The Berry Farm is open December – May, and the new season begins on September 1, 2021. Basically they are known for locally grown produce, snacks, jams & jellies. The farm has been an integral part of the Redland Farm community for 60 years.

When you go to the farm, you can be sure that you should not miss out on strawberry picking. That is the cream of the crop for them. They have the best red, juicy, firm, and sweet strawberries you can find. If you decide to pick strawberries, it cost $3.50 lb. This farm also allows you to pick your own sunflowers in their fields. This is a lot of fun and also an excellent spot for photos. Don’t forget they sell produce as well so you can get fresh produce while you are there.

While you are at the farm, there are activities for the whole family to enjoy. Also, keep in mind that the farm is pet-friendly, so you don’t have to leave your dog at home. They added a corn maze, rope course, and these gorgeous wooden play areas. They still offer hayrides that give you a little tour of the farm, and they have, instead of sandboxes they have corn boxes.

If you get hungry or just want a snack, don’t worry, you can order food there. They also offer amazing smoothies, juices, and ice cream.

Lastly you should know that this is a great place for a birthday party or private event. Check out their website for more information.
